Fill the pot about 1\/3 full with potting mix. Loosen the root ball of your plant before placing it in the new pot. Fill the rest of the pot, leaving about 1\/2 inch between the soil surface and pot rim. Water the plant and let it drain. Make sure soil is dry to the touch between waterings, and do not wet leaves. Do not allow plants to sit in drainage water. Depending on the individual plant’s needs, orchids should be repotted every 18 to 24 months.
