Numi's Chocolate Rooibos infuses smooth South African red tea with real cocoa husks, honeybush, and vanilla for a deep, earthy-vanilla cup with a rich chocolate finish, wonderful plain or with a splash of milk. Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free and known for its calming quality. Its natural polyphenols, aspalathin and nothofagin, have been studied for their potential to ease stress and support the body's antioxidant defenses*. We've sourced this rooibos from the same small-scale organic farm in South Africa's Cederberg region since 1999. Numi's Together for H2OPE initiative brought running water to workers' houses at this farm for the first time, and the farm integrates patches of wild landscape into its cultivated fields to protect local biodiversity. Every tea bag is made from manila hemp (Abacá) fiber, sealed with a crimp-and-knot process instead of the plastic heat-seals used in most tea bags, so no polypropylene ever touches your cup. The bags are BPI Certified Biodegradable and supplier-verified free of added plastics or microplastics — not just labeled that way. The outer wrapper is plant-based and commercially compostable, made from FSC-certified paper and non-GMO sugarcane. Certified USDA Organic and Fair Labor Verified.
