Mounting, Step By Step
First - bore a 5/16" to 25/64" hole at the spot you have marked. Dense hardwood goes easier if you run a narrow pilot hole ahead of it.
Second - wind the starter screw fully in, then back it all the way out again.
Third - turn the hook itself into the opening. Should it bind before seating, the bore is still undersized; widen it and try again.

Surfaces That Suit
Plasterboard, ceiling board, timber and comparable composites. No toggle or anchor needed - the hook body threads directly into the material.
