- Precautions for Installing Carpet Tape: 1、Floor Cleanliness: Before applying the tape, thoroughly clean the floor surface to remove any dust, wax, or grease. 2、Application Method: After application, press down firmly and allow sufficient curing time (typically 24 hours). 3、Usage Environment: Adhesion may be adversely affected if applied outside the temperature range of -4°F to 140°F, or if the surface material is too rough or unsuitable for this type of tape. 4、Condition of Floor or Carpet Backing: The tape's performance may be compromised if the floor or carpet backing is old, deteriorated, or shedding dust.
- How to Remove Carpet Tape Safely: To remove carpet tape without harming floors or carpets, follow these steps: 1、Start from a corner – Gently lift a corner using your fingernail or a plastic scraper. 2、Roll, don’t pull – Slowly roll the tape back onto itself, like removing dried glue from fingers. This releases adhesive gradually and reduces stress on the floor. 3、Work gently – Too much force or pulling at a sharp angle can damage the floor finish or carpet fibers. Keep tape close to the surface as you roll. Tip: If tape is stuck firmly, warm it with a hairdryer for 10–15 seconds. Heat softens the adhesive, making removal easier and helping protect your floor.
